I recently talked with a dude at the nats that used this lizard skin product on the entire interior of his glass coupe and also on the top and bottom of the floor....he said it made a huge difference eliminating noise and got rid of that fiberglass rattle( if that's the right word)...have any of you had the same good experience and your thoughts on using this product...thanks....I know steel is better and all that, but, this is my choice.:)

Will Lizard Skin take and hold paint? I would like to use it inside and out on the floor but want to paint it body color (special reason).

I used "Second Skin" and am very happy with it and it was cheaper.
    HUGE difference in the wagon.

Used it- liked it- spraying it was kinda messy. Used it on the 49 Plymouth we did a while back.

If you contact Lizard Skin directly- the people are super nice.

    Link doesn't seem to work????

I'd be interested in seeing what kind of concoction is comparable to Lizard Skin.

I prefer Lizard Skin to the Rhino liner. Rhino Liner catches and holds dust and dirt due to it's porous nature but then again it's supposed to be a bed liner but many use it as an undercoat or put it on the floor boards inside the cab.

One thing about Lizard skin, Avoid the temptation to spray over any area that has only set up for 3 or 5 minutes. Air pockets will form between the two layers as the first coat gases out
The label mentions a proper cure time for in between coats but it doesn't tell you why you don't spray over a 3 minute old skin.

I see a product call boom mat spray on, comes in a spray can, says does about 20 square feet - handles temps from -10 to 300 degrees, and can be painted over, on the auction site at 8 bucks a can.

does not make any claims for heat protection...anyone use it here?
