My car will be loaded down like a moonshiner coming back from KY. I need to adjust the ellipticals.

Reminds me a of a woman that had a Kentucky vanity plate that spelled out KY WOMAN. Must have been a Neil Diamond fan. Who isn't?

    Billy,

Between now and next year perhaps you should buy a '49 Ford and put overloads on the rear springs.

And from the US to Canada.

  10. So you’re saying it’s one bourbon, one scotch and one beer? He he.

  11. Yea, I hear you and feel your pain.:( I have been fighting annoying issues with the drag coupe all summer. I think I may have everything sorted out now, a little more time will tell. She has been driving me crazy since the end of May.

57 Fargo, gunna miss you and your wife, but I do understand. Sometimes some things are just meant not to be.

    Lloyd, the shirts look cool.

My wife and I are still intending to come to the big event. We have a hotel space booked, we have gas and food money saved up, just changed oil on the truck yesterday, so its ready. We are looking forward to a weekend in KY, and meeting some HAMB people.

Thanks man, I'm really looking forward to meeting you and a bunch more. I hope that everybody that can shows up and has a great time! I've run around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to pull everything together, but hopefully it's just a low key, no stress, good time for all of us! I've got music lined up, food, and a few "contests" to give away some prizes. Figure that Saturday morning if enough are interested, we'll go on a cruise past Cave Run lake, and through some of the countryside, probably 20-25 miles, and have a little poker run to give away some money. Make a stop out in amish country at a little country store, then back to the drag strip for some tire smoke and racing fuel :D:cool: gonna be a grand ol time of telling stories and hanging out! I'm pretty stoked about it!

I believe I am going to drive my OT truck and bring some stuff to sell.
Lots of old car magazines from the 50s and 60s and early 70s. I am sure I will find some other stuff as well.

  17. Lloyd, I wish I could make it but due to a prior commitment (Granddaughters wedding) and now the recent health scare I am unable to make the trip, I know it will be a epic Hamb meet & greet, please take lot's of photo's for us slackers. HRP

  25. Here's a tip about that Border Crossing Into Canada deal.......
Apparently, when the Canadian Officer asks if you have any guns with you, saying "Well, if I knew you wanted some I would have brought more" is not the correct answer.

25 years ago when I was still a law enforcement officer I crossed into Canada with my wife and young son on vacation. I was well aware of the no guns in Canada policy so mine was left at home. When I answered the question about any guns I got the 3rd degree as did my wife. My only guess is that they determined I was a law enforcement officer based on my protected license plates. Or maybe not, just the normal 3rd degree?

  27. At the risk of sounding political which is not my intention, our firearms laws are considerably more restrictive than the US, at least to the best of my knowledge.

I’ve only driven to Canada once. Was in the area of a friend that relocated to Vermont. We planned to “paint the town red” in Montreal.
Yes I was much younger, the three of us in my rental car, empty cans of beverages littered in it.
No passports needed then (mid ‘80’s).

After an ID check we were ask what our business was in Canada.
    We said “came to party”.
Let us through without issue. :)

  29. Going into British Columbia is a smooth, painless operation, they're always polite and friendly. The only problem is, the bastards want you to leave eventually. Man, I like it up there!
