"Have you guys heard anything about the Lloydfest bullshit? I bet it'll be a joke!" Well mother fuckers, why don't you show up and see?!? I mean you've got that bitchin' 4 speed transmission and all the cool shit on that old car, get it out and drive it! Or roll it on the damn trailer! Hell I honestly don't care how you get it here, JUST BE HERE!! I've got cool shit going on for your enjoyment! I'm looking forward to putting my hand in your hand and hanging out! Sponsors your shirts are going out in the mail this week, the rest of the shirts will be at the event, and John's Kustom Trophy donated 50 dash plaques, first come first gets. I'm gonna hit you 10 bucks for the shirts, but I'm gonna give the money back to you in prizes, and I'm gonna give the rest to the track. On another note, if you're driving your sweet ass old car, you come up to the gate, and you tell the person that you're here for Lloydfest, you'll get in free, and you'll go to the left, around the staging lanes to the other side of the track. Once you're there, I'll put a sticker dot on your windshield showing that you're my people. If you're coming in your off topic vehicle, throw them the spectator fee, and I'll put a sticker on your vehicle so you don't pay again, and if you want I'll refund your spectator fee out of my pocket. BBQ food truck is coming on Saturday, my union is gonna be there all weekend making homemade corndogs and drinking beer lol, and the track concession stand is open Friday and Saturday. If I'm correct, we'll be the only people there on Sunday. I assume Tim (the owner) will be there. He told me we can run the track on Sunday if we want. Depends on how many of you show up and what time everybody starts rolling home. Oh yeah, if you sponsored this, and you're coming, I'm not mailing your shirts, I'll give them to you when you get here. I hope everybody can make it! Again you don't need a pass or a ticket, show up, tell them you're there for the Lloydfest activities, they'll direct you around the track, and we'll go from there. Gonna be a good time, and I'll continue it every year as long as people wanna do it. See ya soon hoodlums! If you have any questions or problems, shoot me a message, or call or text 606-336-1997

Oh and if you're gonna enter the test and tune/ trophy race Friday night, or the Saturday race, you will have to pay to race! I don't want there to be any confusion on that. He pays out money on Saturday, so you'll be competing with all of the other cars. Friday night we can line up against each other for bragging rights, if any of you have the nuts to go against the El Camino :p:D:cool:

Hey Lloyd, I can't wait to meet you and Ashley. If I don't get my overdrive trans in my 50 Ford or don't bring my dogs, I'm still planning on making it. This will be my first road trip and hopefully not my last. My flathead is .80 over with headers and a 4/11 ass end, I will give you a run for your money the first 30 feet!

Hey, I've got a 4 speed and some cool shit in my old car...
Speaking of cool shit, how about some close ups and details about those rear wheels? The squared holes are good looking.

I'll see what I can do lol, thanks to Mark Moriarity and his hatred of my old wheels, I had to take the death wheel and sledge hammer to my outer wheelhouses lmao! It does look wider in the ass now. Contemplating widening that front axle, or even switching it to a truck axle. It's good for now though. I'm gonna take it to a car show tmrw morning, then Lloydfest, then pull the 283. Getting time for a bigger block Chevy up in here!!

Probably ridiculous to ship one I'd say? There was a time not long ago that I had a straight axle out of a G10 van, drum brake, 4 3/4 bolt pattern, etc... and I let it go

    IMG_20230915_175407251.jpg out with the old!
My hopes of tripower glory at lloydfest may hafta be changed to fourbarrel glory.
The tripower project is hitting some unforseen snags that will hold up the new engine unless i put the old carb /intake on to get the heap to Kentucky.

Well it sure doesn't look like it's a lack of parts to pull it off.

Well, i decided that i want true 348 secondary carbs for the secondarys. I found one that i bought to study on . After seeing the size of the venturis and doing some more research, I'm gonna hold out for the right parts before i put any more time into the set up.
If anyone has a 348 true secondary core with a 1 1/4" venturi let me know!

The red intake i painted and put a pcv port and made a baffle for underneath .
I got studs and went to put a carb on it and the bolt pattern is off! Apparently it started life drilled for stromberg carbs, then somebody drilled it out for rochesters. The back holes lined up, but the front ones don't. So back to the drawing board.
