I feel like a heel. I assisted last year, but this year I couldn’t swing it. Yet my handle is there.
Put me down for a 2x, it may be a bit baggy, and I’ll put a little something extra to cover it.

Edit: but a proper and fitting mistake worked out.

Yeah I went over my list of donations with the shirt guy. Not sure what happened there. All good man. I gave shirts to those that made the trip. I put the sponsors on the back of the shirts. Did my best.

Went to the firehouse today for the 9/11 lunch. Chief Mosbey asked me how the park worked for us. I told him it was a good location. He told me that we'll fix the bath house before next year.

Well, we made it home today about 4 pm. I guess we are the last to check in. Sunday went back to camp ground and left there Tuesday. Stayed at a Wal-Mart Tuesday night and here we are at home. First thing I did was take my '40 Ford coupe for a drive. Went to get pizza for dinner. Next year it will be at Lloydfest.
We did just over 8400 miles in Motor Home and another 4000 or so in the Ranger driving around.
We head out for Florida on 3rd October with '40 on trailer to go to family reunion and hitting Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, Georgia on way home.
And most importantly, we had a great time at Lloydfest. Looking forward to next year. Ron

I would go west (or maybe you are east of me) and I don't mind going north, but crossing the border is probably going too far. :D

Wouldn't it be fun if we could pair a few nights of get togethers within a reasonable drive of each other for next year. Maybe start west at Lanefest and drive east to LLoydfest 25. Would work nice if we could have a stop or two in the middle to rest/repair/show some locals cool cars or whatever else is needed. Regardless, it would be fun to have a convoy or 2 converge on LLodfest.

From my place to 57 Fargo's place and back home is 4,000 miles round trip, 62 hours of Interstate driving, according to the driving directions on google. I don't like driving the interstate unless there is no other way (though going west might nor be as bad as going east from here is), and if I drive more then 6 hours a day, I tend to get tired... Figure 5 days each way.

Lloydfest is about 1200 mile round trip the other direction, I don't do Chicago or the interstate, that is 20 hours driving time, round trip for me. Figure 2 days each way. There would have to be 2-3 weeks between the two for me.

That is a lot of nights in a motel, and a lot of days of driving. I must be getting old, I'm wore out just thinking about it.

  25. We can party all we want right here in my yard! lol.

I'm about 120 miles closer to 57 Fargo. But if you left there on a Monday, you'd only have to average 600 miles a day to make Lloydfest in 4 days to get there for Thursday dinner. That's like 10 hours a day and plenty of time to rest. That shouldn't be impossible. And with prior planning imagine the caravan of hot rods you could have as you rolled into either end. I've ridden horses from San Antonio to Houston, and from Corpus Christi to San Antonio and my butt didn't wear out. Surely driving hot rods would be a little more comfortable. Can't be much more fun, but it would be one to remember.

Yes, I do know where you are. Actually, in my phone, I have Grimshaw as one of the default places where I look for weather information. Just to see if you're getting snow while we're swimming. Not really (on the snow/swimming comment). I'm just sort of a curious guy.

I've also looked it up on Google Earth several times. I'd love to drive Clarence to Grimshaw.

  28. Any of you hoodlums are welcome here as well!

  29. @atch we should find an event somewhere towards the middle and plan to meet! Get others in the area to show up if they want!
