Check the very first post in this thread; also response #3. Note that there is a typo on the dates. 9/10 - 9/13.

  2. Yes....

Lloyds initial post starting this thread has a "typo" for the dates!

Lloydfest IV technically starts with our dinner at the country club Thursday September 10th about 6:00PM & runs through Sunday Morning September 13th, again at the country club for a "farewell breakfast/brunch.

If you just want to come for a one day...Saturday would be the day or a one nighter, come Friday & stay through Saturday. You can camp on the grounds, Lloyd will have a Porta-Pottie, so you can sleep in your cars or trailers, but no electric or water hook ups. @Lloyd's paint & gl*** can correct any of my "facts" as I see them, but the bottom line is....JUST COME!!!!! You Won't Be Disappointed!

    God Bless

Is it just me that notices those curious white things on the lawns?
Somehow adds to the Lloydfest ambiance.

They look pretty nasty but actually are just white table umbrellas.

  8. Hey @Beanscoot ,

Even though you are a long ways away, it is clear you will fit right in with this group!LOL Book a flight and one of us will pick you up at the airport!

Stubby won't be there this time, because it's Prissy's turn but he said to raise a toast to all of the Lloyd Fest crazies!

    God bless,
    Bill

I, for one, would gladly make a run over to the Lexington airport to pick up @Beanscoot, and/or Bad *** Billy (aka @Bandit Billy), and/or @57 Fargo, and/or anyone else that wants to fly in. I'm sure that there are others who also would drive over to the airport for the same reason(s).

    Bill,

Even though you have more auto transport equipment than should be legally allowed I hope that you and Laura will be driving Prissy from Ohio. You gotta immerse yourselves in the "just drive it" at***ude.

And, oh-by-the-way, how do you maintain the place where the pic of Stubby was taken? Is that your living room? I have a shop, garage, and storage building. Every wall in all of them is totally covered in hanging tools or storage shelves. I don't think that there's enough blank wall space to hang a Rolling Stones poster.

  11. After Laura's spine surgery, there is not much chance of us driving one of the collector cars that far. For Lloydfest 1 my plans were to drive the 55 Nash, but I could not get it ready in time.

As far as the garage...That is the house garage, that is why it looks so void of stuff. Currently Stubby & the XLR-V reside there to stay out of the way. If you want to see a little more clutter, I recently posted in Cobbie's thread about shops. (Link Below)

Lloydfest is pretty far from me, and I don't even have a p***port now.
I remember when it was easy as pie for a Canadian or an American to cross back and forth over the border.

My son just turned 21 and went across to the Pacific Northwest to celebrate Independence Day with friends down there, his papers are in order!

We replaced the front tires on his car just before the trip, we discovered they were worn down to the wires on the inboard edges.

  18. apparently i busted the 57s axle last year immediately following lloydfest (so glad i didnt do a burnout so we didnt have TWO broken axles ;) )
bottom of the axle housing is basically full of gravel from the spider gears. 20260709_164754.jpg 20260627_185917.jpg 20260703_164641.jpg 20260703_164812.jpg

however, the plan for lloydfest stays solid, thats why im doing this now and not three weeks before its time to leave.

in other news, i have a working film camera now! if i can figure out who develops them we can have lloyfest on film. 20260710_173629.jpg

We did some black and white 35mm shots at the Fallout Drags 8 years ago and one of my friends developed the prints. I haven't looked into what's available in 35mm film in a long time.

    It's in Columbus, but a 4–5-day turnaround is pretty good;

I was looking at my calendar and seen it wrote in. planning on being there

  26. I'll update more after the first of the month, but i wanted to let anybody know that's coming this year, I'm gonna do food trucks Friday and Saturday. They'll be selling food there. Friday is the hot dog depot, and Saturday is sipping sisters, they both have killer food. I'll provide snack food and drinks. I did trophies this year. Me and @John B have already discussed what they are, and I hope he remembers lmao! Cause I already forgot! I have advertised local for pre 1972 so maybe we'll fill the park up a little more. Hope to see you soon!

And if he don't remember? You can send him a text. You know that guy has had memory issues since he almost died in 2015.

Again no show for me. The Ranch Wagon is no closer to being ready to make the trip in spite of spiraling expenses. So sorry, no check in the mail this year but party on for me.
