This is about 3 miles from my place, most of the cars were acquired during the mid to late sixties. They were off limits until recently, I don't think any are worth fixing but there's tons of good parts. Two brothers own them and the land they are on, one is a car guy and wants to sell them or the parts off them, the other brother wants them all gone. I have offered to let them move them to my place and we split what I sell, I don't think it will happen but who knows.

    Enjoy...

  11. Well they are their cars and they can let them turn to shit........ And they did. Seems like a waste but this ain't the first and won't be the last. Looks like most are in to the frames or worse. Good luck on the pickings.

    Parts pickers paradise.

  15. Lots of trees and brambles and poison ivy to dig through for recovery. It would have to be a killer score to be worth the effort.

Wow... talk about letting some really sweet cars rot to nothing.

I was expecting to see a bunch of typical junkyard cars ie: nothing too collectible... but there were some REALLY nice and desirable models in there.

Hope you can get some decent parts out of them.

    What a shame.

I don't see a lot there as far as rebuildable cars go but there are sure a lot of usable parts.
If I had the means to buy them, a way to haul them and a place to store them for a short term I'd make a blanket offer of X dollars a car and plan on pulling them out, taking off and selling any good parts that I didn't want myself and hauling the hulks for scrap.
It would have to be a bit of a low ball figure because a guy would have his work cut out for him in getting them out of there. and it looks like a couple of them might fall apart when you tried to load them up. figure you need access to a roll truck and a good chainsaw for starters. Then there may be the title issue when you haul the hulks to the scrap yard. Do you need titles to get rid of whole hulks after you strip them or are you going to have to cut them up an haul the pieces in?

If the 55 Pontiac has backup lights those are worth a little something, if it has the backup light deletes it is well worth your time to get them off carefully. The radio and heater deletes (if it has them) are also worth getting.

The white 57 Pontiac 4drhas or had the "Gasser" Type 1 rear axle that is the correct width to fit under that period correct 55-57 Chevy gasser project someone has.

O.K., a couple of interesting cars, like the 57 Pontiac, and the lawnmower. But, I guess I'm just stupid, what are the galvanized cylinders that are rivited together. I've seen them used as "gates" into farms by burying one end in the ground. They are not the interior tanks of old water heaters are they? Or some type of resevoir? Something used with a well? Some old stoves (wood/coal burning) were also water heaters that used an external holding tank.

What a shame, there was some great stuff there at one time. Good luck salvaging whats left of the useful parts.
