location or region links

So I know I am new on here but is there an area that is listed for regions or states? On other forums I am a part of there are state or region forums that people can jump on to link in with others.

Is there a spot on here that I have missed that has this?
If there isn't would the moderators be objected to having one made?

It is just a thought that may help plug some of us newer guys in and network for parts ideas etc.

there might be a social group for your area. if not, start one.
