Most of the moderators here are fairly forgiving,,,and will glance in the other direction if possible. They remind me of the movie. Fiddler on the roof . The father has these daughters that want to marry men that are not traditional to the fathers wishes . He talks it over with himself,,,and yells,,,,TRADITION !,,,,,but gives in because he loves his daughters,,,and wants them to be happy . Goes along with this twice,,,but can’t the third time,,,because it is just too untraditional. That is what happens here sometimes,,,,,some things are just too untraditional,,,,and the hammer comes down . The rules are pretty clear,,,,,and some things will not be tolerated ,,,,sorry . Besides,,,look on the bright side,,,this place draws a lot of viewers because it is this way . Find any place else that can equal it ?,,,,,not gonna happen ! Come on man,,,,7 years ? Tommy
I don't completely understand why IFS is frowned upon here. I can see if the car originally had an axle and you put on IFS. #1 , it looks like **** and #2 not traditional but, my 47 chevy came with upper and lower A arms so whats the big deal if I put better A arms on? I mean, nobody gets bent out of shape over a speedway axle upgrade and loses the old one. But I also value the rules of the HAMB. I've seen other forums go to hell when all the rules were allowed to be broken little by little.
I doubt it was the IFS that did it on this one..the engine is way off what this place is about, but combined with the rear brakes, the tubular A arms, etc. it doesn't surprise me that it was locked. It would have been easy to leave those pictures out. Now a few more people have a better understanding of the rules, hopefully. So this discussion might be worth something, after all.
As long as it’s a traditional beer, let’s not get carried away. Even though I love that new fangeled craft brewed stuff.
