Did they make a locker, limited slip or other deferential for a model A? I plan on putting a Halibrand 101 quick change in my car but would like to make pull on both wheels without welding the spider gears.

My dad told me, what they did in the forties was: they took out the spider gears and ran a large thick wall tube through from one hub to the other. Then bored open the hubs for that large tube to pass through. Cross drilled the hubs for bolts to connect the hubs to the new made axles. That was the end of broken axles. He raced at Andy Grantelli's hurricane asscociation races at soldiers field Chicago after WW2. He once told me the ring and pinion were plenty strong enough, it was the axles that would break.

There were lockers for T’s, so have to assume also for A’s. There used to be a Suzuki Samurai clicker type locker that was easily modified to fit in a banjo rear… not sure about the details tho
