    Thanks guy's,
In what manner does this adaptor kit work? Does that octagon shaped extension move up and down for the lock-out? Or is there another piece above it that holds the "non Lokar" knob and triggers the lock-out? Just trying to figure out how/if I can fab on a WWII chunk for a knob. Thanks again!

You can use any shift knob that you want with the adaptor. The chrome part that you see actually slides up and down on an inner shaft. There is a threaded piece that the knob goes on and you adjust that to push down on the lock out. I just took one off an hour ago because it was sticking and wouldn't pop back up.

As Rusty Rod said you can use any knob and to tell the truth I think the adapter works better that the stock knob with the center insert. Much easier to push down on the whole knob to release the lock out than it is to use your thumb on the center of the stock knob.

Awesome Rusty! Just the info I was after. I wonder how much weight that set up will take? I guess I'll find out.
