LOL annyoing neighbors

  1. This spring the house next to ours was remodeled into apartments for the "income challenged". The one guy drove an old beater s**** hauling truck, and insisted on parking up three spaces in front of our house. After about a week of this I told him he HAD to leave me a space to park my truck, he didn't see my truck yet, the guy just looked at me like I had three heads. The next night at about 11:30 I show up at home running open headers and there was no place for me to park, a couple laps around the block and everyone was outside. The guy moves his truck back enough to let me park in front of the house, he gets out of his truck grumbling at me about something. I tell him "I hope you get up early".....again with the three heads look on his face, he walks away.

The next morning was my son's first day of school and he wanted me to drop him off at his shop cl***. At 5:45 I went out and warmed up the truck, everyone had their heads out the windows wishing we would just leave.

After a couple weeks the guy moves out. I closed the dump tubes on my headers, now everyone stays out of my parking space.

Remember Kids: It's always better to be the feared neighbor, than to fear your neighbor.

I have a lady in her 90's that lives next to me who is the Gladis Kravitz "Nosy Neigborhood Watch" type and appears out of nowhere just about every time I go out to the garage. The problem is that she likes to talk, but cant hear a ****ing thing and is always asking me why I moved this, and did I hit her sprinklers when I did, or can I sweep my driveway because it has dust and metal shavings, or Did I feed MY dogs today?, or can I turn off my work light because it shines in her bedroom window (mind you she goes to sleep at 6:00 PM) or, the one that broke the camel's back: could I not park my RV & Trailer in MY drive way because she could not come on my side of the property to trim her holly bushes.

My solution was to erect a carport and to make sure the side towards her house come all the way down to the wall. I think she got the message about bugging me while I am in the garage...

This reminds me of the time I was working on my truck, and this 8 year old kid on a bike ride's up and I said to him "Hi Whats up?....he said "My **** when it's hard" and rode away.........

    You guys are weird.

Why don't you just tell them to stay away from your house. Or tell their parents to keep their kids in their own houses?

The ***** Mormon joke was pretty funny...actually not at all.
IT seems pretty common on here to make fun of Mormons, What makes you think there aren't any Mormons on this site? And that is is okay to insult someone because of their religion? Is that what all the cool Hot Rodders you know do?

I am not so much offended because I am Mormon. It is just a horrible joke. I get it ***** Mormon both have a MOR sound in the words and that is supposed to be funny?

This all reminds me of a neighbor who was a cop and liked to hang out in my garage in the evenings I worked on my rods. I built at least 3 or 4 with him standing there telling me funny stuff that happened to him on duty,or cracking jokes about his wife. He also was a great help as he used to be a mechanic before joining the force. Since that time He and I have both moved,he has retired and, time goes on. I sure miss those times, what a great guy. I'm kinda lucky, most of my neighbors are customers and they like my hobby. We live very close to an old folks home and on wash day the old folks always stop by on their walker walks to the lake and talk about when they had a car like that. It's pretty cool. I had one bad one, but he got busted with a grow op and he doesn't complain anymore......kinda keeps to himself now....chuckle

the neighbors beside me are nice. One is a maintance man and the other is a retired army mechnic. I have one neighbor who lives 2 houses down that I can not stand. She is in her early 80's. Me and my dad would cut her gr***, trim bushes and other stuff to be nice. We would never charge and she might give us $20 or so. She had a 73 4dr torino that she wanted gone. She said we could have it if we moved it. We moved it and all was good at the time. About a year later she came over wanting us to pay for the car she gave us. She had a bunch of bushes and trees that needed trimmed and said if we did that everything would be ok. We do that and all is fine. She had a shed that the roof was flat on. She said she wanted the roof dropped about 6 inches so water will run off. My dad and my neighbor do it and all is fine. In between this we had took the car to my uncles because we do not have a lot of space at my house. Me and my dad are cleaning up the yard and says she wants her car back. My dad explains to her that she gave it to us and we did all the work she wanted. She pays my dad a little bit of nothing for the work we done and we bring the car back so she will stop *****ing about it. After this she has accused me and my dad of stealing tomatoes she canned and old clothes. Me and my dad have never stole nothing from anybody. We do not speak to her anymore

This old lady live alone or have family that drops by?If she was a nice old lady and good neighbor for a long time and then started this "forgetting"thing I would sure suspect the early stages of Altsheimers or Dementia.if she had anyone that stops by at all I would tell them whats happenning !In the early stages of these it hits only once in a while so someone that just drops in for a quick visit could miss it entirely.I'm talking from personal experience this happened to my dad and this is how he "went away"our first solid clue something was going way wrong is when he left our house to go to his senior center apartment and turned the wrong way out of the drive we live at the end of a dead end road!

I think she does. We have told her sister the police and about everyone about it. She has not caused any trouble recently

Our driveway is a narrow stone and dirt road curving back into the woods for 350 feet. The closest neighbor is 400 feet. Can't see our house or garages from the road.No one walks over to visit, but if a friendly neighbor did,I would be friendly in return.
When driving out onto the road I always take it easy, wave to any neighbors I see.No need to piss people off in my opinion.
