thought you might like to see a few pics from a meet in sth london england, organised by the detonators c c,it's a regular last sunday of the month breakfast meet, all weathers, all year round, cheers ,tappets www.detonatorscc.piczo.com
Very nice batch of Hot Rods you have there Tappets. You might pass along to the fellow with the '29 Model A coupe, that without front fenders, the proper class would be B/A for altered. Gassers had to run front and rear fenders. Also the photos look pretty rural for a London location.
hi,the model A in question has nothing to do with drag racing ,the 100B/G is a reference to the 100th bomber group who were stationed in england in WW2,inside the vehicle are photos of the airmen that served, and this is a tribute to those guys who flew during the war, as to a rural location london has more green spaces than probably any major city in the world, this meet is not only in south london but is one of the highest points across the city,it's oxleas woods, shooters hill,se18 3ja you can google earth it,and take a look at a slice of our part of london, will post some more photos soon,
After taking a closer look at the '29, I also see the gun sight and the Pines winter front grill. All my trips to London have kept me close to the center of the city, or out in Richmond. I should get to the south end next time, and, on the last Sunday of the month.
Just down the road from where I use to live, Crystal Palace SE19 3JS. Nice to see some Rods from there.
