Well, that was one of those weekends that you wish you could have EVERY weekend, but if you did, you'd probably be dead in 3 months!!!

Thanks to the Konts and everyone involved...

    Here's how the story goes....

Thurs night the Tulsa THEMmers rolled into G****vine around 10PM.
We met up with Bubba (Bubba Luv) and the Outsiders at about 10AM friday morning.
Then we scooped up Ed (boomboom) Cannon about 20 minutes later down the road...

The best part of the trip down was that Bubba AND Weefer BOTH rolled down in the Franken-bean (formerly the green-bean)...
They fit in that thing about as tight as John Holmes' **** in a nun's ***!
Let's just say it was a tight fit....

The scene on S. Congress Friday night was awesome!
    Burnout city!
At about 11:30PM we rolled up to Trophy's to play our show (High School Caesar)...
Guitar George had food poisining and threw up about 4 times before we went on stage.
Johnny Reno sat in on our set and is AMAZING with that Sax!!!
Towards the end of the set Goergie ran out the back door and Matt from Eleven Hundred Springs jumped on stage and did a couple of songs with us as well!
It was the best show ever!
I hope that you guys that made it out enjoyed it as much as I did!
(if anyone has pic's from the show, I would like some copies please)

    The show Saturday was perfect!
    75 degrees and sunny.
I will let the pic's speak for the quality of cars at the show this year...

Saturday night on S. Congress was even more insane than Friday night.
I saw a ton of burnouts, including one from a taxi cab, a police car and a mid 70's Winnebego made a good attempt!

Then it was back up to Trophy's to catch a little Bleed!
    HOLY ****!
Bob Bleed has more soul than the son of James Brown and Jimi Hendrix!
Sorry about the radiator shell Bob, I was a LITTLE wasted....

Sunday was a great drive home with plenty of sunshine and a great caravan of cars!

    Now, onto some pics.
Give me a few minutes the get them all loaded....

    Well, since you insist.....

We stopped at Chilis on the way outta town.
Rusty decided to have the corn on the cob.
This led to a bunch of interesting conversation regarding corn, corn-holes, *****s, sticking things up you *** and what not... you know, table talk!

Since it was Rusty's birthday, they brought him a chocolate shake.
Rusty was dipping his corn cob in the shake and licking it off like a pro!

Then he decided that since it looked like a **** soaked corn cobb, he should keep it....
Somehow a condom then ended up on it and it was staked into the ground at Chili's.
Then.... Rusty thought a "spring break" pic was in order....
He dropped his wares and flopped down face first next to the "****-cobb".

Keep in mind that the "church-crowd" was just getting out and pulling up for a nice meal @ Chilis!

    It was a roit!

Man, I was bummed to miss the round up (had to fix ******* planes all weekend) But I really wish I could have seen your show with Johnny Reno and Mat sitting in. That sounds ****ing neat as ****. I'll be there next year in my Five-0 Ford for sure. Ralph (5 & Dime) says he's going next year come hell or high water.
    Thanks for the pics.

Say, if you're just up in G****vine, you should swing by my place and have a beer or nine sometime. I'm just off 360 at Harwood.

MAn what a weekend at the roundup. We all set sail form Dallas at 8 Friday morning. Satans Ride came down from Sherman and met up with us. We had about a 7 cars cruising down together. Got to the Chezk SHop in West at about 10:30 and the whole station was full of hot rods. Never seen another gas station like it. Well we headed out towards Austin with everything going our way. Met up with the Garage Crawl with Hotwheel about 1:00p.m. Car was running pretty ****py so we wipped into a Auto PArts store to get some plugs. Change the plugs and still no better. Pops ( dirty2) started doing his special tweeking he always is so good at. While sitting at idle the motor make a couple clanks and locked up. We did not know what just happened since the motor was all fresh. With little time left to get to the Roundup check in the parts store owner let me leave the Coupe beside his house. I jumped in with Dirty2 and wow what a ride, we headed to the Continental Club. WOW is all I can say. There was hundreds of old school rods cruising and parked. Both sides everywhere you looked were hot rods. I was like a kid in a candy store. Saturday was even better at the show. The weather was perfect and we even had some shade trees where we parked. MEts lots of cool hambers and seen some great work everyone had been doing. Saturday was an all time high. I dont think we could duplicate it exactly and be as fun and cool as it was. I mean how many times can you go to a town and do burnouts for about 2 hours, in downtown, in front of the Capital of the State, next to a police car before getting warned to stop. It was really wild. I dont think anyone even got a ticket. It did slow the night down but the fun had been had already. Then it was on to see Bleed play

There was a band playing by the name of Honky and man did the rock. Stayed and watched Bleed finish it off. Blue Bear even got in on the action. The rock star parking by Dusty was also something you did not want to miss. Scared the **** out of everyone but what the hell that is Dusty. MAn does he know that car. Got a phone call from KEnny who came down in 54 Chevy with us and he said he had locked up his ******. So we left the bars to give a hand. The roundup was pretty hard on our bunch. Luckily ElRusto had trailered his truck down so we had a trailer for him.
I know Daddyo54 lost a ******, A guy from Ft. Worth lost a ******, Kenny lost a ******, I lost a motor, one guy lost a rearend, Pops broke a motor mount, but what the heck we drove ours and drove them hard. I was really impressed how many trailered cars p***ed us on the way home. I think I would have done it a t night so knowone would see. Anyways I ot home and tore them motor apart. Looks like a small hose clamp or the hose clamp screw founds its way into my motor. Definalty my fault from being in a hurry the last minute. Heres some pics I shot of the piston and the head. Thanks for all that stopped by Saturday at the park and offered the help. Thew hamb is great.[IMG]

Hank Cash, S****... why is that you live so close and yet I've never met either of you? Hell, I used to live in the apartments at 360 and Harwood (Landing at Bear Creek).

Another Dusty story. Some drunk guy (like the rest of us) pulls up and starts showing off (like the rest of us) and then gets out to show his toy bomb off, leaving his car running. He sets down the bomb and starts to walk to his car. Someone comes up and grabs his bomb and runs off. He goes after the guy with the bomb and Dusty runs over and jumps in and drives off with the guys car. Now the car is filled with this guys friends too. Dusty eventually comes back and gives the car back and the bomb. It was really funny to witness it all and the goldchainer was a good sport about it. good times

Dusty should have a biographer follow him around and take notes for the book he needs to write if he ever lives to retirement age!

I like Dusty and I know that he is very fond of me....
