Just finished my 32 Coupe, I understand that the Roundup is a great show, I'll be driving the 700 + miles from FL. Any help on where to stay and hang out would be appreciated.

I stand corrected, I have been in to old cars ever since I could drive. First car was a Restored a 66" Nova which started out as an ole ladies car with a 6 cyl. and ended up with a 327/350 combo. Wish I had that one now, my 2nd resto was a sweet 64 Impala SS 327/Powerglide lost that one through a divorce. Swore off cars for years but got bit again when I moved into a new place with a killer garage(16' ceiling, 2 and a cars wide) Was sitting in this empty garage wondering what to do with the space. What else is there to do but build a car. Always wanted a 32 Coupe did my research found a guy close that was doing glass bodies. What started as an 18 month build turned into 5 years, with the exception of a few details she is done. She runs a 305/350 turbo w an offy 3 duece intake on custom rails z'd 3" in front and 5" in the back. I'm building up a 327 for her cause in 2012 I'm going to Bonneville to join the 13 MPH club. I am aware of those who frown upon glass bodies but thats their problem not mine. I basically built the car twice cause I had to redo everything I screwed up. Sometimes its all about the journey. She was built as a daily driver not a trailer queen. I have been in clubs where half the cars never saw asphalt, what a waste.
    Also in the works is a 30' tub 300 6 cyl/C-5 combo 9" posi rear. A 49 Caddy 4 dr all original 331 etc. and a 29 ford p/u
Ryan, I hope I passed, I'm planning on driving to the Roundup this April and as I;m fixing to retire I will be on the road to many others. Hope to see ya'll there. Take care. Dave

    Welcome from Austin Texas!

The Roundup is great, worth the drive. Reserve a room at Hotel San Jose. It is on the South Congress (SoCo) strip, smack dab in the middle of all of the action. All of the cars cruise there every night after the show. SoCo packs up like crazy during the show, but it is totally worth the hassle. If you don't stay there look for something as close as possible to SoCo or 6th street.

    Cheers!
