Lonestar Round Up Laminates SOLD OUT, some parking available

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by beatnikontinental, Mar 5, 2004.

  1. Hey folks - just a note from Kontinentalville to let you know the weekend laminates for this years Lonestar Round Up are officially sold out - We had a huge response this year from folks all over, and it looks like it will be a great show!

As a result, what we are offering for a limited time - (deadline is the first 100 pre 64 cars, postmarked by March 17th) - are Parking P***es for the Saturday show - since some folks are coming in from out of town and want to guarantee that they get into the park on Saturday - we are offering the $20 general admission in advance (thats for your car and one person, the driver - all others in the car are $10 general admission at the door) You can send in your registration for your $20 parking p*** as long as we have those, to the same address as a laminate (info is here: lonestarroundup.com ) and pick up your Parking P*** windshield sticker at registration happy hour from 3-7pm on Friday the 26th.

any checks for laminates postmarked after todays date 3/4/2004 will be eligibile for a parking p*** (we will refund the $30 difference)

With a parking p***, you can also cruise Congress Friday and Saturday, go to the breakfast at Hula Hut on Saturday morning (non-laminate holders can pay $5) and check out the bands onstage at Jo's. You an also cruise out to Ski Shores on Sunday - But you will not be able to get into the Continental Club shows either night without a laminate - sorry.

Again - we are trying to accomodate as many folks as possible - and we are offering this (instead of making the last 100 parking spots first come-first serve) to help folks from out of town plan their trip. Let us know if you have any questions about the Parking P***es - thanks everyone!

note: people who have registered and received confirmation for their laminates are not affected by this - if you sent in your registration in the last week, and you haven't received confirmation yet - I will send that to your email address as soon as I receive your envelope here.

Bobbleed, don't sweat not having a p***. There is plenty going on right in front of the club.

Hanging out was down last year due to the sudden freeze we had but with a little luck weather will be good.March nights are usually pretty nice.

K R, you can't ride your new minibike in the club anyway. [IMG]

Looks like there will be lots of us losers stuck out on the sidewalk. [IMG]

I will rent my laminate for $20 an hour to those that need
to use the bathroom, just promise to bring it back to me.

I didn't intentionally listen to Outlaw, it just turned
    out that way.

    What Jason said...

Haven't received any confirmation -- although when I looked at my bank account on-line, the check has cleared. Does that mean I'm "in"???

    I AM screwed!

No record of check clearing the bank. For that matter, the check I sent to AzIndCh***is hasn't cleared yet either!?!? Both of them went out last year.

B***, looks like we'll be drinking in public and ******* in the dumpster.

Why-o-why isn't there any other contact info for this shindig other than "email-me" boy? Same thing happened as a vendor last year. I know it's a relatively small event, but communication is key to your customers and now I'm pissed~!~!

Don't worry fellas, I'll see Beatnik this afternoon and we'll get it all cleared up for ya.

Jason you should know we've got your back man.

Sorry your pissed, If y'all knew how much Brian has to take on to do this deal... I know excuses, excuses.

Just please remember all of us have Full time jobs, Brian a new one this year that has him jumping through hoops every day and working weekends. That's why he has'nt been on the board at all the past year.
The Work it takes to put on the Round up could be a full time job in it's self but we don't want this thing to turn into a big profit huge show. We want the money to cover the cost and go to local charitys. So no one will be taking the job "full time".

Again I'm sorry guys and we'll staighten it all out for you. today.

Doesn't look like I will get to go again this year. Spent to much cash on the 54 trying to get it going for this years show, And it won't stop freakin raining so I can finish welding the floors in my 54. Guess I'll just be goin to the little bit "cheaper" KKOA shows this year. I just really really wanted to go this year but oh well **** happens. Maybe next year. Hope the kontinentals pull off a great show this year. [IMG]

  20. ****pity **** **** ****... money's on the way, promise!

C'mon guys, show us absentminded oldtimers a little love - just look at the list of laggards! Can't you deny a laminate to a few first-timers, just on principle?

    I get you the money

Trust me! There is going to be PLENTY to do without the laminate if you can still get your car into the park. They are saying that they still have show parking available, so you are ok! Just get that money in quick!

You will not have MUCH of a different experience than the laminate holders.

I had a laminate last year and couldn't even get in the club anyway, too many people. I wouldn't worry too much. All the fun is outside anyway, and ya' can hear the music out there.

  23. What about the folks just going to check **** out and hang out.... I just wanted to see some sick cars, get drunk with some good ole boys, and listen to some bad *** music....

****, even if you don't get into the park there is plenty of parking outside the fence. ****, I made it a point to go walk around and check out the cars that were outside the fence for about 20 mins or so last year.

I didn't have a laminate last year. Froze my *** off outside, but it was a hell of alot of fun anyway. Got to have some good conversations with people that are usually surrounded, and got to see some great Full-throttle Minibike action. [IMG]

So, Brian and I have traded some emails and I wanted to make it clear that I don't think he screwed me or fell down on the job. I'm pissed that through a chance of luck something ****ed up between my checkbook and his PO box and I got shut out.

I'm gonna be there anyway. Who could miss the LoneStarRoundup?!?! It will take a lot to top it, or the guys that do the work to put it on.

See me Friday evening to catch me in a very good mood. No ranting, I promise ;-)
