Tom, you're right this is a great car. It belongs to Robert McCarter who built it, including the interior. He drives the wheels off it, having made several cross country trips, there's no telling how many miles he's put on it. Few people I know enjoy there hot rods as much as he does. This car has tons of unique touches; everytime I see it I notice something I didn't see before and he keeps adding subtle bits over time. It has won several national awards and been featured in many magazines. Great car...good guy!

 

great stuff! I like how you get the reflections in the shiny cars to really stand out. is there a special filter you use or just a good eye....or both.

This car almost looks as if has been shortened.

 

I know; I believe that the slightly larger tires than normal creates the illusion of it being shorter. I recently saw another stock early 'Bird that looked the same way.

 

A variable neutral density filter can be adjusted to bring out shadows, but I usually do post production in Adobe Lightroom, where I can bring out shadow detail that doesn't appear in the raw shot.

Robert is an upholsterer from Harrisburg, NC, & as Seadog said "He drives the wheels off of it". Here he is at work (no hat) on my '34 Roadster. Jack did the mechanicals/assembley on it.
