Thinking about maybe driving out to Texas this year from San Jose, and see if Gambino wants to drive out as well. Maybe drive straight out to Austin through the LA route, and then hit VLV on the drive back. Due to my work, it'll be aggressive long driving days.

Anybody else going? Maybe we can get a bigger caravan going...

I'm seriously considering this as well, Scott. I definitely don't want to go alone. I'm trying to get Gooz to drive his Lincoln, but he's just making excuses. Some nonsense about having a job or something.

I'd love to get a caravan going.

I'm planning on going. I usually leave my house at about sun up and drive to Las Cruces, or thereabouts on Wendnesday. Hitting the road at about sun up on Thursday puts me in Austin around 3:00pm. I do the return trip Sunday and Monday.

Your Majesty-- you guys know what day you'll probably leave? im going to talk to Alex today and see if he's down to drive as well (he usually is.) Being that maps actually show going south first makes sense, maybe we can meet up in socal and tag along with all you guys?

Key for me is that i dont have a bunch of time to **** around. I'll need to haul *** & long hours on the road.

Eryk-- this will be my first year, and im hyping myself up to drive it. hope you can join us.

    Excuses?

    **** doesn't make itself.

Not sure of my plans right now, but I have made the trip several times. From the bay area you can make it in two pretty long days. It is about 1725 miles. Try to push more the first day Thurs and get to Austin before too late Fri afternoon.

Funny, sorta related story. I was driving my 60 El Camino a couple years back, and got pulled over TWICE in the same day in TX. Both times I was about 7-8 over the posted limit. Maybe because I was out of state, maybe it was a crackdown on any speeding, or maybe because I was not quite enough for a real ticket, but I received two official WARNINGS! Yes I did buy lotto tickets, but I guess my luck was used up that day and I did not get to retire early.......

The Round-Up is always fun and I feel bad I have missed the last two after making it to Round-Ups 1 through 4

As usual, if any of you guys break stuff, call me (even if from the road) and I will see to it that it gets fixed. I have also discovered that simply threatining West coast cars with a possible overnight stay at Crushproof typically makes them behave. :D

    everything should run flawlessly now!

    See you kids in April.

i was supposed to go last year with brandy and ragdoll, but then ragdoll flew out and her man drove out with brandy, and i stayed at home working.

this year i'd really like to go.

oh yeah, i'm in vegas and everyone is welcomed to stay a night here on their way out.

I'd be more than happy to help you out too if you break down in Albuquerque. Hell, if you break down in Tejeras, I'll drive up for Albuquerque to help as well.

Someone lied to you tred! They flew too...Mac busted his foot, and we used him as a way to board the plane early.

We aren't going to make it this year I think. Going to try and get to some shows we haven't been to this year.
