I have a couple of early 331 Hemis. , The one in my 32 roadster project is an old-school motor that has had the bell machined off some and a plate welded to it that adapts to an earl Ford Front transmission housing that has another spacer and has been adapted to a Borg Warner three speed and overdrive!

the other 331 has a standard long bell. I picked up a long bell to early ford trans adapter recently. Is it possible to bolt an adapter designed to put a Chevy or later ford manual trans behind a flathead to the long bell adapter to eventually get to a later trans? I don’t guess there are any stock early ford housings that could be used or modified, similar to the one in my 32? What amalgamation of clutch and flywheel parts would make it work?

    thanks!
