Saw an old post from chappy444 asking about an artist Ron Davison, Well that's me. Still alive, still painting, but no longer do car art. Still love hot rods and own and drive a 64 Chevy II wagon. Wagon is tubbed, gutted and runs a Weiand bln SBC. Still have some art left.....
That's some good looking stuff Ron! Did you happen to know a Don Cuppe from Fairmount? I worked with him in Iowa for a short time in the mid 70's.
Wow... how cool is this. @rdnix383 thanks for taking the time to post. I look at that picture often...beyond loving the lines of the car and appreciating the talent it takes to create something like that it always reminds me of my friend. I would love to know more about this piece, and get a couple of more if you have others in this style. Shoot me a PM if you have time. Thanks again Chappy. The legacy of talent one has in life should remain for others to appreciate and enjoy. Sure hope Mr. Davidson resumes his automotive artwork.
Great looking artwork indeed! Ron I hope you will join us and contribute to this weeks upcoming " FAS " Friday Art Show. As cool as your hot rod artwork is, I would be curious to see what else you have been creating. The " FAS " always has an interesting mix that is amazing! Thanks for posting your artwork. Dennis.
Ron, please check out the Friday Art Show. I know everyone would love you to contribute, but looking/comments are OK, too!
