Hey all.. I've been a fan of the traditional rods and chops going way back but my hobby car (68 Plymouth Sport Fury) was too new for this site. Anyways, I've got a new toy to fix and hop up.
37' Plymouth Deluxe. 217" flathead out of a 53'. Motor is strong and she chugs down the road pretty well.
Immediate plans are to get the brakes in order, address the clunky suspension and ****on up some light electrical issues. Bigger plans include a dual Aok intake, headers, lowering and maybe some paint. I wanted to salvage what I thought was the original paint but found out it was grey underneath.
Any tips and advice, send it my way. I'll be around..

Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois.

Nice rod project. My advice, don't take it apart. That's how projects end up in the back of the garage for 30 years.

Get it running dependably, service the brakes, enjoy the drive.
