i posted this on the questions board and was told that was the wrong place for it. so i moved it here.
greetings my name is Sean and i live in Seattle. i have been lurking around this site for awhile now and it has ligthen a fire under me to go and get at least one of the 51 ply bodies that are sitting on my dad's farm in north dakota. but unfortently for me i have 3 other car projects that i have to finish before i can do that. so for now i will just have to look at all your cool old cars.
But in the mean time i have some parts for a 55 chevy and a 56 buick special that have been taken up room in my garage. i would like any help y'all could give me on selling/trading them. mainly window trim, door handles, i think that there is aome body trim in there other odds and ends. i would like them to go to a loving home that would put them on a cool car and drive them around. but i would also like to make a fair price so that i can get my other projects done. so i have a few questions.
1 where is the best place to sell them. i see that most of you brouse e-bay.
2 is there a price list anywhere or general rules.
3 with the window pieces, i think that there are full window trims, is it best to piece meal it or sell as a set.

any info that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. not only for a cleaner garage but to go and get those cars.
    thank you for you time

  2. Well, atleast you are learning from your mistakes,,,,you might try posting your parts for sale in the classifieds,,,

But, if you are a long time lurker i'm sure you already know Rashy is in charge of the classifieds and insist on a 2 week newbie period! [IMG]HRP

i will try and post some pictures when i can get them below 70000 bites. but that parts are:
    chevy
hood hinges, cowl parts, speedo, wingwindow passenget, wiper parts
special window frames front and back, inside door and window handles, portholes, valve covers and the window frames for the side windows.
also is there was way to check that the speedo works without a car to put it in ?

  4. Hook the shaft commin' outta the speedo to a drill.

Go easy ,,,just do it at a low speed and quick. HRP

well nothing that i need to work on would be hot rod approved.
i have a 70 bronco (my first car) that needs some work. mainly a new engine and interior. but while i am at it a new paint job and a few other things
a 90 bronco that needs a new engine, my wifes car (makes her feel young and sassy which is always a good thing)
a 76 jeep truck can't explain it it just rocks one of the big ones not the honcho..
if we can also get the 50 something high hood and the 50 something overland jeepster running (they are my dad's) we will pick up the 48 fleetline that is also on his farm (his first car)
dang when you write it out that is a lot of work
