I lived in the greater Portland area from '69 to '79 and while I didn't know all the local rodders, I can say I don't recall hearing the name.. sorry.

  4. thanks rocky, last week he said his wife was bad ill and how he was following. made me sad, he also told me a story about getting off a destroyer in sandiego, with a pocket full of discharge money, going to a relatives house and pulling his 5 yr. stored hot 38 ford out of a locked barn, taking his time driving to oregon,{6 months} getting moraly into trouble, things his momma wouldnt like, getting drunk every nite. listening to jazz and all the old bands, you know back when fighting was fists, music was jazz, and guns were war.
i need to spend more time with the old guy while he can still remember all this stuff. a message to all you young cunts, my self included, these old guys were the real deal, listen to their tales, soak in the knowledge, cause like my real granpa, and 41 willys(steel ones) they gettin hard to find.

48oz, If you really want to find this guy { and he's not listed in the current Portland phonebook} get a hold of the Salvation Army. They run a tracking service and can find people the FBI can't. It really does work and if they find the guy he's given the option of contacting you or whether he wants to be reached. They found for us a sister who had gone underground for years to avoid an abusive ex. [IMG]
