Are there any events near longboat key on aug 8-12 i will be in town for vaction

Me too in Ana Maria Island, real close. Hit up Siesta Key Crescent Beach awesome beach, Mote Aquarium, Daquari Deck in Siesta Key happpy hour 2 for 1. There are a couple Diners, drive in and Dives featured places around town. As for car stuff it's the " off season " down there. My one observation of the FLA car scene was "wow were did all these Plymouths come from " Lots of street rodded old plymouths down there.
