Love that 60, I have a pic of a white one somewhere. had to chop the 55 alittle... now its perfect to me..
Think they were made buy the same guys who did the ambulances and hearse's???? Anyone else have any clues???
That's a sweet looking ride. Too bad they only made a handful of them. But ya, probably wouldn't have sold too many of them back in the day. Shit, you imagine driving one of those at 70 down the freeway?? You'd be blowing compact cars you passed all over the place!!!
I'm rarely early to a party, but I just found this and thought I'd ad: (May 1960 Popular Science magazine)
Someone please post a picture of the Caddy from the movie " Alices Restaurant" I'm not sure what it is cause I only saw the movie once many years ago. It was early '50's and was customized into an El-Camino type body , seemed well done . It's a hippy movie and there was always a load of hippies in the back . Anyone else seen it? I swear I'm not making it up !
It's a flower car. http://www.hearse.com/vehicles/motorized/cadillac/1941/aj_miller/flower-car/v001/pages/pa.html
Cool , so they were actually made by Fisher , not a custom . I would guess Fisher used sedan roof sections and whatever parts they were already producing since they made so few of them .
I just saw my son with a caddy hotwheel like the one in Alice's Resturant, didnt know that was a real thng. Anyone know how rare?
------------------- Yeah....that'd be cool! Anybody here want to try photoshopping a Nomad roof onto a '55, '56 or '57 Coupe Deville??? Also, how about photpshopping a Nomad roof onto a tri-five Ods or Buick too??!! I and probably a lot others here too would love to see the results, if anyone is up to the task! -------------------------- I LOVE it! Any details on who built it or when? Was it a "one-off" or a limited production piece by some commercial body-builder? Any more pics?? You could (should!) start a whole new thread just on this car! Mart3406 =================================
