Yeah, I do like the 56. I know every nut & bolt in them. Love the body Style. I have 4 front fenders, 3 hoods, 4 doors. All kinds of parts. Can't sell them here on this site.
I just had a guy tell me he wanted $300 for a steering wheel that was falling apart.... plus shipping!!! Is that a duelly?
Great buy, scrap is high around here right now, could more than double your money just buy junking it. I agree it would be better to part it out
Update on the dullie. I thought just for S---- & grins I'd put an ad on CL Reno listing the Dullie for trade. Got a hit within 2hrs. A guy who restors F250 & bigger want to trade a 56 F100 with engine & trans...Even trade.... The F100 is in better shape, We move the trucks this coming week. Best part is he only lives 5 miles from me. Only bad part with the trade is the F100 has a chevy in it. Well I might get $100 in scrap for the chevy or maybe trade it for a Timemex Watch.
Someone might take this as Chevy Bashing...Not ment to be that at all... Good thing about the trade is I got a 56 with a engine & trans. Alot of Chevy guys out there who might want to trade for a Ford engine. Ya Never Know.
im not anti car part anything lol , it was meant tongue in cheek , if it moves and is made of metal im interested , steam , air , gas , diesel , etc
Sherm - Not meaning to hi-jack but since you know every nut and bolt in the 56 can you tell me if there is any major differences between the pick-up and the cabover cab. I have a 56 COE (needs work) but I do know of a F-100 cab for sale for less than half of what was spent on it. My Coe has some door/floor rust and the roof is wrinkled so I'm wondering how much is interchangable?
I can't tell you that at all..I am well versed on the F100 & F250....From what I have seen with pictures...very little will interchange, except for maybe the grille. There has be be someone on the H.A.M.B. that is well versed on the COE. Thanks for asking. Mike
Thanks Mike. At the moment I'm 400 miles away from the F-100 so i just can't run over to compare so I thought I'd ask. You're right somebody in the COE section might know.
