Tudor called me today and told me about it. It's in Savanah right now, and will be coming up to Atlanta...
That DAMN sure looks like the same body. The real, real tell would be the height of the new door bottom. But man, it really does look like it to me.
I just sold him a 364 Nailhead, but I'm thinking he needs to start looking around for a Hemi...

    -Brad

Oh, and he wouldn't tell me what he paid either.
Hey Josh, ask that guy what he wants for that rough as a cobb Chevy truck in the background there...Seriously. I need a vintage truck, and if he let that rough 32 go so cheap, he might actually pay me to haul that Chevy truck out of there!

    Congrats!!
They are still out there, just not as many..
That sure as hell looks like the one 2manybillz owned!!!
Right down to no drip rails and the location on the lower hinge in relation to the door bottom!
With such close similarities i wouldn't dismiss that it just might be..
    Man wouldn't that be unreal!!!!!

I bought the unchopped 32 5 window body in my avitar about 4 years ago or so for 3g's..
These are once in a life time deals as far as i'm concerned..
Again, congrats on you new car!!!

    Great score!

This A was shown on another post, must be your Deuce's little brother or something.

Fag........... better plan on putting the Sedan body in the corner for the next project. I can not believe you stole that body. I think a mild channel is approp or rework the lower section and build a good traditional hiboy 32. (which is what I would do).

Seriously that is a great score. It's a good think you chose to use a 32 frame for your A. kinda convient huh. I can wait to help with it.

  12. Dave, we know where he lives, we just gotta figure a way into his garage at night and steal it....
repaint it and we can say my dad found it for me!
    hahaha

  15. Excellent Christmas present! Do you know anything more about it's 40 year old hot rod history that you could tell us about? Does the owner have any old photos of what it looked like when it was complete and running? Congratulations Tudor!

  16. congrats on the body, keep us updated with it.

  17. Awesome find man. Now get serious about moving the Tudor so you can throw buckets full of $$ at the coupe. I wanna ride in it when I come down to a spring N. GA swap meet.

This couldn't have happened to a better guy. It's neat how some old hot rods find their way to hot rodders isn't it?

Nice find. Forget the ratrod nonsense and build yourself a nice hotrod.
Might I suggest you concider a full fendered one.

  19. Thanks everyone, I really gotta thank my Pops. Well, I am just glad his garage is full, otherwise - who knows!!! Just Kidding Pops.

I think you're right Tony, This was just a stroke of luck. I had pretty much decided that I'd never find a deal on a 32 or be able to afford one. Which I was fine with. I do love 31 Model A's. That gold A 5 window is the baddest. I have the calender that car is in. I'd be real happy with if it turned out like that.

I was kidding about the rat rod thing. Kind of an inside joke to me, everyone you meet outside the HAMB seems to love to talk about building one of them rat rods. Why, because they are cool.

I have a nice 32 frame under my Model A sedan body, Anyone ever seen a 32 on pinched 32 rails? Since the body has already been cut up to be channeled, it may sit down nicely on the pinched frame. I hope it doesn't look too good. I really like the looks of the sedan on there.

We'll have to see, the A is getting close to being a runner. I may have to build another frame for the the deuce body. But then I would have 3 cars and the wife said - no way in hell you're allowed to have three cars. That is why the body is just a car part. She never said I couldn't get more parts.

Thanks Harrison - Should be ready about March or April. We'll go for a good ride, this thing really ought to get.

I'd love to consider a full fendered duece, but that would really be way too much work and probably look like shit since I ain't that good. I pretty much plan in cleaning up the bottom edges and putting in a floor, maybe a smooth chrome firewall - or a fiberglass 32 firewall painted white. Then just sitting the body on as sort of a survivor thing. Gold car with white scallops and firewall would look good. My idea would be to channel it over deuce rails so that about half the frame is covered. Leave like 2 or 3" of frame hanging out of the body. Then run the nailhead I got from Brad.

It'll be funny, I am going to be able to build a Deuce for nothing with all the stuff I didn't use building an A sedan.

I am really kicking myself for not buying that rough as a cobb 32 firewall at Daytona for 50 bucks. I didn't feel like carrying it and it was very brittle. So I said, na, don't need it.

2MANYBILLZ - I love that picture you put up. I have to admit they look very close? Could they be? I do know the roof has rebar supports accross the fill panels? Sound familiar? Pops said the guy picked up the car in St Simmons or Brunswick area. The dash has one big gauge hole cut in the center with two little ones on either side - pretty far apart. I'll try and post a picture of the dash tonight - or if Boones (faggot) could put up the dash picture that would be cool.

Whoooo- I can't wait until Friday.

Tudor.. I think you need to have those local drunk guys come over and lift the sedan body off and sit the coupe on for looks and to see how it fits.. just for planning purposes of course...
