I saved this from being scraped... It is a 1940 Dodge, old race car. I'm planning on building a "gasser" because it is completely striped and would cost to much to make a custom. I have a 410 pos rear with oldschool slots, and a fronthalf frame with strait axle and chevy juice brakes which needs new springs and some help. Power plant is a bigblock 440 and auto trans that came with the 440. Just planing on a rollbar, one race seat, lexan windows, strait body with a sixtys paint and letter job. I really want to stay on a 5000. budjet... well that what I tell the wifey. ;)

I think I did good... 400. bucks plus he dropped it off at my house. I look at it like, If i wanted a 40 dodge coupe I would have not been able to find one... not only one 2 miles from my house. :)

It looks cool. Do you have the motor for it working? Did it come with the 440 or is that a separate project phase?

that is so cool to save another one from the curse of turning into an import. Just an idea for you weld the front all together and make it a tilt front end ,I am shock how easy the brackets plus a little math can add that flare . Great project I had this gasser project ,since sold it
