I got this jack today from a a guy I bought an oil pan from. Don't know much about it, says Weaver on the release handle. He said it needed a new cylinder, but I thought it might need a cleanup and some o-rings. I think it is cool and I am going to try and fix it. Anyone have more details on the jack model or know where I might get parts for it.<O:p</O:p

Weaver was upper quality back then. Google it for details. I'd bet you could find a how-to rebuild on google.

If the main larger piston is not leaking a lot, it likely just needs the plunger leather cup replaced. Looks like an old carburator accellerator piston leather cup.

I found one like this back in the late 70's early 80's, it was a 10 ton, think I gave $70 for it, cost me $18 to fix it, like f&j said needs a new cup and maybe a seal, easy fix, hydraulic places have the parts. good find!!!

Good jacks when they were new and as F&J said right there at the top of the heap. If the bore in the cylinder is good you should be able to rebuild it pretty easy.

Chances are that it will be rebuildable. You'll have a much better jack that any of the Chinese **** that they sell today.
