Folks Of Interest Look who showed up at the CHRR

This man is a legend,
Been doing freehand for over 52 years, Legs have given out on him so he does it in a wheelchair(dont bother asking him if he needs help, WILL NOT TAKE IT)
Saw him thread the needle 6 times - took only one shot each time
Organizer and only member of the 5B club

Many guys would have just given up, gone on disability, and waited to die. He deserves credit for sticking with it. Another dying art for sure. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

 

Bill was at the first few CHRR's and I hadn't seen him since. He did some embroidered names on some jackets for us, fast & freehand, turned out great. It's good to see he is still around and going fairly strong.

I too was surprised and happy to see that he's still doing his craft after all these years . A proud man .

 

Horan has been trying to get him back to the races for quite a while. Glad that he finally got it done. Look for Bill at the Finals at Pomona--Gibbs is trying to make it happen.
