a '65 Riviera, Quadrajet car, solid, needs paint and a flaked roof, and a lowering, some Supremes or Wires. Trying to decide if I can swing it or not...
Man all I can think of right now is how to get this damn thing. I envision new silver and a silver flake top.... Man I want this thing bad, man it's killin' me...
Do it..!! you won't be bummed.... the interior looks pretty damn clean man... good dash pad and package tray, seats, dash, etc.... Keep in mind those headlight motors are pretty spendy... if you can find one, they are usually $400+...!! Luckily, mine has held up fine...(knock on wood..!) Good luck..!!! -Snacks....
Yeah, the only thing cooler would be if it was dual quads. The headlight motor works but very slow and acts like it wants to quit... I'm really struggling with this one.... Damn I love it though.
ZMAN...the linkage on the headlight doors may just need lubrication. They get stiff after a while. Do it man!!
if you decide to p*** let me know. it sure could look nice sitting next to the wildcat. i've wanted a rive for a while. just need to find one i can afford. you coming to heavy rebel? oh yeah i think silvery-blue(hok orion silver with a touch of candy blue toner) with a silver flake top would be nice. maybe a mild darker blue scallop job to pull in the interior color. ah i can se it now...ken....

[/ QUOTE ] Zman, I feel for you. I stumbled onto a '63 with 39k original. It could probably be had for REAL cheap, but the wife and I are goin' back home to California on vacation next month, and I can't afford it til AFTER we get back. It's been there for 12 years, so I guess it can wait another month or so....
Nice looking car, I agree to just clean and lube the headlight doors and they should work fine. The factory linkage has numerous connection points. If it is really a quadrajet, then someone either swapped a 66 manifold and carb on the engine, or could have swapped a complete 66 engine in.
id that a vinyl top? if so i would practically guarantee the rear window channel to have rust thru. was a problem without vinyl top, if you can stick your head up under the trunk, look at the package tray, make sure its solid, the trunk also. not that its a real bad fix, i'd just make sure the damage isn't too bad.
This dude is killing me, said if I give the asking price $4k, he'll throw in a '65 Riviera GS parts car. I'm gonna go look at that to see how complete it is. It's making me crazy I want the damn thing....
Pics look good - I can see you driving this thing man. Comes with a parts car too- If I had the money I would buy it myself. I say do it.
You guys are making me SICK!!!!!! LOL..... I have cash money to buy something right now and can't find what I want!!!!!!!!!
1LOW that's always the way it is. If I have money and am looking I don't find diddley. otherwise they get thrown at me.

All you ***masters with these 65 Rivs ****. That's the only car I want more than a 60 Buick 2dr HT. I'd trade off all my cars for one of them in a heartbeat.
Hey ZMAN, if there is rust in the package tray, I have a die to make new corner supports from the tray to the inner fenderwell. It's really easy enough to do with a hammer and dolly but I thought I'd make the offer. Come on man, It's cool to the max and comes with a Nailhead parts car. Is the parts car a real GS? Hmm!!
Well I'm not on of those ***masters, yet... Though I'm scheming on how to afford the damn thing. I think it would replace my '59 Truck as the daily very quickly...
