for myself i would try to get it as stock appearing as possible with appropriate patina and knicks 'n' s****es with a faded logo or similar on doors. as to fender/hoodless (see my profile car) great "rod" theme wrong vehicle. as some would say just my .02 worth but it is your build keep us posted. larry

I don't think you'll find much support here for going fenderless with a truck of that year. I would definitely run fenders on it. Yep so that would be my plan: Full fendered, lowered, Flathead... they look great stock so I wouldn't do much else!

this is what im starting with. the fenders are really rough in some spots but repairable there is no cab floor the bed floor looks to be solid i actually jumped up and down in it the rear end still rolls. not too much rust in the cab just the jam cornersive got boxes of small parts havent gone thru them yet to see what all is in them. i like the look of the paint on it i think ill prolly keep it lookin the same for a while. plan is cowhide seats, channel the frame and bed prolly white steelies chrome beauty rings. ive got the original motor for it also, flathead 8 not very familiar with these at all, and the trans seems to not be locked either. the wire wheels ive got are for the most part really nice save one thats missing a few spokes. the grill is off a diff truck but supposed to be the same year. this is gonna be my first full build of my own im pretty excited ive been tryin to buy this truck from my uncle since i was 15 now 7 yrs later shes mine!

the story i got when i picked her up was interesting, he said that he found anti-aircraft rounds and a RPG in the cab. it scared him so he called a bomb squad to remove them. i wish i had a few of the anti-aircraft rounds to incorporate into the build some how. she sat in a field in colorado for years then spent the last 10 in my uncles garage

Make it stock appearing with late model drive train and good brakes. Wish my firewall was that nice.

Ya know what would be killer???

To see a '35-7 Ford truck built up as a '40's era CUSTOM.....ala early Barris or Westergard.

I vote full fendered with stock bed. If the fenders are decent and you want to unload them, send me a PM.

For my 2 cents worth, I'm with thunderbirdesq; most 35 truck owners are so in-love with the factory lines that they wouldn't think of going fenderless on such a sweet looking Ford. To each his own of course, you've heard some fine tips and suggestions.....and most, if not all, include fenders. Good luck either way.
