Definitely a short door coupe , larger 1/4 windows , roof line to the trunk not as straight up and down as the sedan coupes , sedan coupe doors are the same size as the convertible which are longer. Rear seat has been added , head room back there in this car is not as good as a sedan coupe. Nice car , not as many short doors around and very desirable these days.

  2. The '41 long door coupes had a different roofline unique to that year only. They must be rare, I've only ever seen a few of them. Rather than the usual curve from the roof into the deck lid, there is a crease at the transition similar to the '40 Mercury. Both the '41 Ford and Mercury long door coupes used that roofline. The crease disappeared in '42.

My father got me into 41 Fords because of a favorite old movie of his called "Tobacco Road" directed by John Ford that is set in 1941 and centers around a 1941 Ford convertible that's bought new by some hillbillies. It's hilarious

It's complete and the flathead turns over, the front is lowered by removing springs from the top of the pack them putting them on the bottom to fill the gap.it has one mercury head and one 8ba head.the radius rods and drag links are painted yellow(for extra power of course)floor looks solid for now.gonna clean it out and put it on the lift tomorrow or Monday.pics to come.im pretty happy with it

Ya know, since many are "...and what I would do..." I'm gonna play too. Of course wheel it out shiney, clean, up n running. Next, when you smack a 39/40 coupe on the nose just hard enuff it gets a stance that almost defies words. Amirite? Then out back a big enough tire to have just the sidewall barely out to the edge of the fender, like a sexy butt cheek peekin under a mini skirt;) Sadly I think the 41 needs the wheel opening made a wee bit bigger for that, but holy butt cheeks it would be worth it. Who sees it? Huh? Huh? Not my car but that's the pew in the church I'm sittin in.

Shagged from a net image search, but this...with a 41!

39, 40 nose down, 41 tail dragger.... just my opinion, 41's make waaaayyy better customs than hot rods.... congrats, looks like a good car

Nose up ass down is easier. Add skirts. But I've seen 41-47 coupes done nose down and while they hit the stance the rear wheel openings look small. Some how too, the tudors don't seem to suffer that look too much. Just idle banter amongst the faithful...

  23. Yeah, sadly I have a sickness. I'm trying to convince my wife that her 2018 Tahoe will look good with a straight axle lmao!

Thanks for that picture Mark that's basically what I was thinking. Clean it up and drop it down a little bit in the back with some skirts that I already have
