I needed to get the car home so I have some room to check on my other motor option the 8ba at work.drained the milkshake and cooling system and filled it all back up and a little help from some head gasket fix in a can.made it home no milkshake but oil dropped from 40 at driving to barely 20 and 0 at idle.had to drop to second to make it up the hill.it is dying, glad I got to use this motor as long as I did. 20230525_165122.jpg 20230526_170805.jpg

When I made it home I didn't have any milkshake so it set for about a week and a half and yesterday I checked to see if anything had occurred since then. Oil is still good and cooling was still good so I drove it to work and back today. Everything drove fine as usual. Just the oil pressure a little low. The K-seal really does work good but I didn't expect this good haha. Going to get the 8BA out from underneath a bunch of junk at work tomorrow and start getting it together to fire and check out

I started in another thread about the motor swap but I figured I'd put it on this one too. I got the spare motor apart and checked out and it had new bearings and 40 over Pistons so I just re gasketed everything and had the heads checked and assembled it. Had a couple flywheel clutch problems that I had to get the flywheel redrilled but everything got handled. Got the motor in and fired up the other day and it sounds sweet. Drove it home yesterday in 102° heat and it ran at 180 cruising with the six blade truck fan 20230708_104711.jpg 20230708_124302.jpg 20230708_135551.jpg 20230708_090128.jpg 20230711_105925.jpg 20230708_090133.jpg 20230708_090146.jpg 20230708_104439.jpg 20230711_110449.jpg 20230708_104654.jpg 20230708_104706.jpg at 55 miles an hour with almost 60 PSI and 30 at idle hot. The motor has great power and no Blow by or noises like the old one. Going to drive it around for a few days and then maybe change the oil and re-torque the heads
