Since my Ute is not selling, I have decided to install 33 willys wheels, drop it down a little and repaint it. Does anyone have a set of 33 Willy's wheels for sale? Or anything unique in a 16" for sale?

  2. All series 77 wheels are 17 inch. The 36 wheels are the same as 33's except they have some small openings on the centers. All are four stud. I have a set (4) of 36 wheels but on the other side of the world. Since very few of these cars now run original wheels there must be lots of them around looking for a home. Your Overland Ute should have five stud wheels. JW
    36 wheel.

I’ll have to look, but I think you are right, they are five lug wheels. That’s actually better, gives me more options.

  5. The five stud Willys wheels are the same pattern as later Ford, Chrysler and i think Rambler. On my Belly Tank project i have 39 Willys wheels with Ford Zephyr (UK) rear axle and Ford Falcon hubs up front. The five stud wheels first appeared on the 39 Overland not the 39 Model 48, the 39 Overland model (one year only) was the first year for hydraulic brakes and for the 102 inch wheel base. JW
