1952-59 Ford Looking for 53 hood

I received a e-mail request for help on a hood for a 53 Ford. If you can help Katrina locate a hood for her Dad's car, please contact her at kjfloyd@gmail.com

I am hoping maybe you can point me in the right direction. My Dad's 1953 Ford Victoria was damaged in the April 27th tornadoes. My parents lost their home and nearly everything in it, but Dad is optimistic that the Vic can be restored.

I know very little about cars, but Dad has asked me to look online and see if I can find a hood for this car. I have searched a bunch of places but I keep finding hood hinges, etc, but no one that has the entire hood. Can you give me any ideas of where to look?

 

Home town would be helpfull. Want to get one as close to where the car is. 52 and 54 would fit but the hole for the hood bird might be diffrent. Gerry

 

According to the Ford Parts Manual 52-54 hoods interchange,you might want tell us which city and state He is located in as shipping is an issue.

 

No idea of actual location. If someone has a hood, they can take a minute to send Katrina an e-mail and see if they can make a deal. the e-mail address is listed in the first posting.

 

saw a 53 car hood for sale in the parts for sale side. said it was still attahed to the car, so maybe you could even get the hinges too.
