looking for a chevy 6 cylinder /230 ?

    lance from milltown here.
    im lookin for a motor for my darlins 65 chevy stepside.....
    i did a turbo 350 conversion for my gal that wont learn standard....i new the motor had a week cylinder but with the auto you know how that goes...number 6 is shot...
    gonna do a compresion test tonight.....might be a lifter or wiped lobe? not sure yet..
    but ive been looking for a rebuilt 6 .used 6 or a reasonable 6 crate motor....
    235 is to much bullshit with adapter plates motor mount switch ect?
    so a 230 ,250, 292 noN INTERGRATED HEAD IS COOL.... HOPIN FOR A 230? ANY LEADS OR INFO ON THIS I COULD CHEW ON?

    Also wich of the inlines is a direct replace? The 235 needs an adapter for the turbo 350 and front mounts only? I think the 292 the passenger motor mount needs to be moved a bit? Any info is cool?

    forget the 230. look for a 250/292, cost to build is roughly the same so you might as well have more cubes. you should be able to find a good 250 just about anywhere. check craig's list. it should be almost a bolt-in. tranny too.
