I replaced the clutch in our 1959 Chevy Apache. It has an original 283 cu in. with 3 on the tree.
I discovered the clutch fork is not the correct one. It is for a '60-'72. Its flat (no bend) and has two slots on the end. Its supposed to have a forward bend in it and a single hole on the end for a D shaped adjusting rod. I was able to order new linkages ( smooth pin and adjusting bolt) but not a correct fork.
The problem is the linkages rub the crossmember and the adjusting rod is too short. I ordered one from a fella on EBAY, but its Y is bigger than my throw out bearing. Must have been for a 2 Ton?
Anyway I was thinking that there are lots of folks who change over to an automatic and maybe I could reach out and find a correct fork sitting on someone's shelf they are willing to part with.

    Thanks for your time.
