    Hi Everyone,
I know this is a late reply to this thread, but I also am in the market for a good arc torch to cut with. Dreadman said earlier, to look at Victor as USA made, but at Tractor Supply in Clovis, they sell the Victor one @ $189, but.... it says right on the back of the package "Made in China". The HF unit is on sale in Las Cruces now for $99, but so many bad experiences with HF*****. The HF one has 1/4" hoses, while the Victor one has 3/16" ones, even smaller yet. Guess I will look a bit longer at other brands. My rancher neighbor said, at least, find a kit that will use Victor style tips.
    Have a great weekend....duane

check your local craigslist. People are selling them all the time. Parts are still easy to order for descent brand name heads.

I use Victor heads and Atlas gauges. My dad gave them to me and as he said "they are top of line, at least they were when I bought them in 1964" the whole setup was 23 dollars back then.
