im looking for some help machining an offset custom sprocket for my blown nitrous sportster. every time i try to pay a shop to do some thing it never ends up getting done . I have been building this bike for over 7 years stoping all the time to build other cars and bikes but i think its time to get going again.
Where in northern NJ are you and what exactly do you need done in machining terms? I'll ask around, I know a bunch of machinists in the area.
i need to take 2 sprockets machine the center out of one (to use the splines) use the teeth of the other , have a tube about 3/4 of an inch made to weld them back together and also accept a bearing in it to suport the offset. i have plans drawn up with all the sizes and the sprockets and bearing
it seems that way to me too but it is as if my money is no good. i had the bike sit at one machine shop for 6 months just to get the custom rear axle made. im in mahwah
