Might not even be from a car. The fuel pump meter also reads vacuum, so I don't know what's going on there. Maybe it's from one of those new-fangled 'lectric cars, and it fills the tank up for you if you run it in reverse!
"Compressometers are used to determine the strain and deformation characteristics of concrete specimens. It comprises two steel rings for clamping to the specimen, two gauge length bars, and spherically-seated lever unit." "US Gauge, now known as AMETEK U.S. Gauge, was founded in 1904 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania with 14 employees. The company's first products were pressure gauges for locomotives, steamboats, steam fire engines, and portable and traction engines. Today, US Gauge is one of the world's largest producers of pressure and temperature instrumentation, with manufacturing plants in Largo, Florida and Xiamen, China, and a distribution center in Clawson, Michigan."" vacometer did not come up in a search
I think that’s off on engine diagnostic tool. You’ve got a gauge for; Manifold vacuum Cylinder compression Fuel pressure positive/negative
I believe it’s just a term that US Gauge used to call their vacuum gauge. When you found the “compressometer” was it also made by other companies or US Gauge only? Ie a lot of companies try to make their stuff stand out differently than others. Could be why it’s called what’s it’s called. And yes, cool looking gauges, and panel
Possibly Maxim Motor Company? Gauge Logo is different from their badge styling but the M's resemble a similar shape. I know they built some commercial chassis with ford as well, maybe a different styling for them?
I am thinking that these gauges are for a firetruck, or something possibly "marine" application related.
