Fellow Hamber's, I am looking for a pinstriper that goes by the name COOP. I googled him and he has a blog but no contact information. Anyone have any contact information for him? Thank you in advance for your ***istance!
Are you referring to Coop the artist in CA that wears pink socks? If so I think he goes by Coop666 here. Coop666's profile. Looks like he hasn't been on here in a month but you can send him a PM http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=32974

Might be Greg"Coop" Cooper from Lancaster Ohio. Has several custom vans and does a lot of Rat Fink stuff.I have his # out in my shop;if that is who you're looking for let me know and I'll get his contact info
Our little N CA town of Alturas had a very talented striper/letterer in the late 'fifties/early 'sixties who signed his work 'Coop', and he did a magnificent job on my first ride, a '55 Chevy DelRay 'post' two door; medium blue on 'refrigerator white' on the exterior, white stripes on metallic blue (stock shade) on the dash. I tried to emulate him, but tho I'm something of an artist (M.A., CSU 1973) most of my jobs were well-intentioned but below standard! I believe Coop worked at our local lumber mill (now just a 'site') and drove a 1953 F-100 still running a flathead. Most of the time I saw it on the main drag, it was flat black primer, but suddenly it blossomed out in Lime Fire Green, and then... he sold it! It also had a fierce 'dago', and chromed stacks that rose about three feet above the cab roof. A friend went to pick up his girlfriend who was babysitting for his kid(s) in his dad's new I-H farm pickup. He said Coop, back from some party, saw the new black paint, and for two six-packs (which he consumed in measured draughts) he did the entire truck with white. Amazingly, he didn't go from side to side as he worked his way from grille to tail-gate, but duplicated the exact patterns (beautiful!) exactly, which he said was a sight to see! If this is the same Coop, his striping was of the most spare but tastiest I've ever seen (in about 65 years), just amazing aesthetically! Fifties, to the max; not baroque or circus-wagon/fire engine stuff. Some of the car names -- very popular at that time -- he did were 'Miss Carriage ('54 Ford)', 'Broad Jumper' ('56 Pontiac), 'Custom by Crash ('52 Chevy B-A)', 'The Littlest Outlaw' (Model A coupe), 'Little Devil' (61 Comet, no kidding!) and 'Rickshaw' (I forget at age 78!). Also, I don't think I ever heard hs first name! Wick Humble
