Im looking for a Y-block Guru in southeast michigan. I have a 312 that I would like to get rebuilt. Looking for any tips or modifications that need to be done. This car will be a driver and backed with a fordomatic. Any advice or suggestion. Looking for a shop that is not too far away for the rebuild.

I can and will offer advice, but the years have not been kind to some parts of me. I can no longer do overhauls. Email any questions, I have Y block experience.

I have a 56 312 engine. working on buying a set of 57 heads. I have a 55 fairlane that I am putting this into. with the original fordomatic trans. What setup would work best for this combo. What converter, cam, headwork, intake carbs would work best. What are the oiling mods that i have heard about that are needed on the block.

You might contact Streetdreams here on the hamb & fordbarn. I could help you but I moved from S.E. Mi. to Az. a couple years ago. Don't miss the cold/snow a bit.
