I had a copy of TRJ from sometime in the last two years, but can no longer find it... the artist featured in this one if i remember correctly was a young guy who did real cool mixed media pieces depicting old car magazine covers, model boxes, etc... very photo-realistic, and this guy was from Europe, and I seem to remember the article making a big deal out of his depiction of early to 1950's hotrodding images with being so young and never having been to the states... Can anyone give me a hand with hte name... I don't have enough solid keywords to search for him... thanks a lot in advance!
I think he's posted on the Friday art shows... you may run through the archives. I can't think of his name, but know the article you're talking about.
I reckon the bloke you're looking for is Chris Froggett from Yorkshire,England. The Rodder's Journal he was in is #30. I don't think I've seen him on the HAMB but he does have a website- www.atomichighboy.com That's pobably bad business directing people to the competition so I think I can justify adding a gratuitous plug for my own site- www.ratchfordautoart.co.uk
jez-h-r... thanks man! you got it, I really appreciate you offering up the site, compeition or not haha, but thanks for your link... some cool stuff as well.... lots of talent here on the HAMB
