My dad used to talk about drag racing his 69 Yenko Camaro behind a Sears in or around LA. He said he raced Big Willie one time. We lived in Manhattan Beach, so maybe it was near there? I saw a video years ago on YouTube, but did not save it, and didn't make it all the way through it. Does any of this sound remotely familiar to anyone? I'd love to catch a quick glimpse of his car, or even hear some stories.
