I'm looking for builder info on my new to me 1940 Ford Deluxe coupe. I was told it was a body off build between 1985-1987, in Tulsa OK. Typical Red 40 Ford coupe, all steel body & fenders, with al the trim & bumpers. I think the Wabbits dash will be the biggest clue to who built the car. Engine is a 1965 Chevrolet 300 horse 327, turbo 400, Lincoln Versailles 9" with disc brakes. Thanks for any info, Jibs
It's not but it looks like the red 40 Coupe that my wife was always wandering off to look at one more time at Tulsa in 1973. She fell in love with that car that weekend but I have never been able to afford a 40 Coupe.
I have been a 40 Ford owner/lover since 1962 in Tulsa, I don’t remember that car. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t built here I just don’t remember seeing it. I will ask around and see if any of my friends remember it. I agree that the dash is unique and might identify it. Sad to say but several of the guys who might know are no longer with us.
