Since you're going to be in the general Smoky Mountain and Atlanta region, you really should give some thought to Old Car City at White, Georgia. It's been there since 1934, making it one of the longest continuously operating boneyards still in operation. It's not far off I-75, north of Atlanta and a bit northeast of Cartersville. I think you take the Cartersville exit, for that matter, but I'd check all those details before you go, if it were me. They have a GREAT website, run by a GOOD guy who's very communicative.

Hundreds of cars and trucks there! I hope you will take a bunch of pictures, buddy, wherever you end up visitng!

You also have RoadKillCustoms, an alliance member.
They have compiled a nationwide junkyard list, and I
believe they made it searchable by the end of '09. They
are not hard to find, bro.

Sorry, I should have included the web address! BTW, they list between 75 and 100 salvage yards in South Carolina and well over a hundred in Georgia! Once you get comfortable with the site, I think they can fill you in for the BEST yards that still have plenty of OLD vintage tin.
