I've always been a V8 man, but you guys are starting to convert me. There's just something about a dressed up inliner...
Heres the 230 Mopar 6, ex an airport tug, that will eventually end up in the 41 Plymouth coupe........the engine will be bored 40thou, cleanup porting, balanced, to run a 3/4 race Waggott cam, Edgy 9:1 finned head, Offy twin intake with Holden stromberg carbys, pair of modified cast iron exhaust manifolds(Fenton headers don't fit as the Plymouth has a RHD steering box were the fentons dump)f to a full twin system with Smithys, Holden 6 water pump, all adapted up to a US sourced S10 T5 gearbox, HEI Dissy, Beehive Oil Filter.......am awaiting the lifters & timing chain from Turkey then the machining can commence.........hopefully........lol.........Andyd
My old 1948 FX Holden in 1983. Later model 186ci Holden 'red' motor, based on Chevy six. Triple side draft 1 3/4" SU carburetors, twin cast iron Fenton style headers. Original 138ci 'grey' or side plate motor was again similar to vintage Chevy motors.
Those are some real nice looking engines there. Glad it made it back up to the top. I am detailing under the hood next week.
