After many years of fooling around with "other" cars, I have finally seen the light. My friend's recent resurrection of the original Valley Customs Polynesian has motivated me to look for a fairly significant original custom that needs restoration.

As a newbie to the custom car arena, please indulge my ignorance in asking if anyone knows of such a vehicle that is currently available. I would also appreciate anyone's comments on fair market value for an original but well known car that needs total restoration. I know there will be a range depending on the car's condition and history.

I thank you in advance for the education and any leads.

  4. Just have to watch the ads, here, eBay, around.. they turn up from time to time. A while back there was a '54 Olds on eBay, turned pickup, full on custom from the 60's. Went around $3500 I think, roller, needed a lot of work.

You uh, might want to post an introduction, part of the forum rules, before anyone jumps on you for it.

If you are serious about finding an old custom with history, you probably should contact Kurt McCormick... he probably has owned and traded more historic customs than anyone..
