I hope someone out there can shed some light on the history of this '39 Ford coupe; I purchased it last year from a gentleman in Los Gatos, CA., and all he could tell me was that the car was built in the 70's around the L.A. area. This car has a '40 front hood and fenders, fibergl*** rear fenders and a tired copper paint job. The engine is a small block Chevy (327?) with a front type engine mount, a Muncie 4 speed and what looks to be a '57 Chevy rear axle with leaf springs and (?!) a home made 4-bar. The windows have an amber tint all around, including the windshields. The interior is black with original seat, dash and chromed garnish moldings. It's different enough to be recognizable from the rest of the coupes out there... Who built it? Where was it built? What has it experienced? Was it raced? I'd dig hearing any recollections anyone might have of this car, and old photos would be epic!
