cowboy, not a buddy but a hellofa nice guy, is who i get them from and yeah i think he has been having then repopped for that long. he's been selling them at many large west coast shows for a long time. it's been a while since i talked with him but i think he said he has been involved in kustoms since 61-62 or so. last time i talked to him and ordered up a dozen or so sets he was in the middle of a move as i believe he had just retired.

may not be the same but i don't know of anyone else doing them. i know the Lincoln resto guys use his ****ons pretty heavily.

i had heard talk of a coupla other folks that were going to do them several years back but never heard anything else on the subject. who knows really.

i'd say if they look like the ones pic'd above and are ALL stainless construction they probably came from cowboy through some channel...ken....

I had them on my '42 Continental coupe and liked them so much I bought a used original set for my '32 roadster. They cost me $150 but I considered that a fair price. After all '40s Lincolns aren't that common.

I was using the push ****ons on my '50 merc over ten years ago. Then everyone thought I had a loose screw. Glad to see someone else like this kustom touch.

i am seriously interested in a set...and as they would drive around in the Netherlands, you do not have to worry too much about seeing them.

let me know, when you have a set for sale (just send a pm)

    cheers

  16. Hey lucky sttiff, did you go to Leadsleds KKOA show about 10 or 12 years ago? Because I bought a set there from a guy with a small table display of a bout 6 or 8 sets repop stainless. They were very well made and looked great. So I bought a set and hung on to them for at least 10 years until I decided to install them on my 36 roadster. They sure look like the same quality in the pics shown on this post...I`d like a set as well. Going to Charlotte in October will you be there?? Time-Bomb John you can see the car here.....

Hey I saw a couple of neat cars out of Jersey with them at Mudcungie 09 & now I want a set to cherry out my 47 chevy which is on the rack right now. A couple of welds short of final body work and they could be on her. I have sorted through all the past links etc but still can't come up with any old or repopped. Handles are ugly ****ons are way KQQL.
